Our Store Policy
We value each and every customer. Every effort is made to have a
store policy that is as customer-friendly as possible without
sacrificing our own business needs.
Items may be reserved, although we do not hold items beyond three
calendar days without your firm commitment to purchase.
Please inquire about courtesy
discounts to booksellers, print dealers, libraries, museums, or
similar institutions. Sales to libraries, museums, or similar
institutions may be invoiced.
Our store accepts the following forms
Business or personal check. Must be
denominated in US dollars.
USPS money order.
Credit card. Credit card information
can be provided to us by e-mail or by telephone.
PayPal. You need not be a member of
PayPal to pay via PayPal.
Bank wire transfer, but generally only
if the total transaction amount is $1,000 or greater.

The State of California requires that
sales tax is assessed when shipping taxable merchandise within
California. If applicable, we will advise you of the sales tax due
for your locality. Sales tax does not apply for out-of-state
shipping. Additionally, sales tax does not apply for sales within
California to dealers with a valid California Resale Certificate
who are purchasing for resale. We need a completed and signed BOE
Form 230 in order to complete transactions with California
Gift wrapping on items is
complimentary. We are careful, however, to refrain from using
ribbons or strings that might in any way damage the surface of an
item. We wrap and package very carefully. Items ship snugly in a
box or are otherwise carefully protected. Unless you desire it, we
refrain from shipping original prints in mailing tubes. Rolling
can promote flaking of inks and pigments, distort fibers, and
cause tearing or creasing if the roll is crushed.
We ship promptly, usually within one
business day of a paid order. We offer free shipping for all book
orders if via USPS Media Mail. Please note that prints and some
ephemera do not qualify for Media Mail. Our Media Mail shipments
include a tracking number for each parcel. USPS Priority Mail and
Priority Mail Express services are also available and of course
also include tracking. We ship anywhere in the world.
International rates will be determined at the time of sale. Rates
will depend on weight and destination and urgency of delivery; we
will contact you regarding shipping costs. We regret the recent
substantial and unfriendly increase in rates by USPS for
international parcels. We will do our best to work with you to
find a shipping arrangement that meets your needs.
We never seek to make a profit from
shipping fees; we make every effort to quote actual fees. Delivery
is guaranteed for all books and prints, and expensive items are
insured as a matter of course, usually without extra charge. Upon
shipment we will promptly e-mail to you a shipping confirmation,
including tracking information.
We guarantee the condition of every item, including books, prints
and ephemera, as described on our website. If you are dissatisfied
with your purchase (Incorrect Item/Not as Described/Damaged) or if
the order hasn't arrived, you're eligible for a refund within ten
days after the estimated delivery date. In any case you must
notify us in advance and await our reply before shipping back to
us. When we accept return of an item that is an incorrect item, or
not as described, or damaged, or lost in transit, we will refund
the purchase amount in full as well as your original shipping
cost. We will also make every effort to locate a correct or
undamaged copy for you, should you wish. If you've changed your
mind about an item that you've ordered, please contact us and
we'll respond within three calendar days. If we agree to accept
return of an item due to buyer remorse, we will refund the
purchase amount less a 20% restocking fee and we will not refund
your original shipping cost.
