Printed and bound in Italy. Signed in a neat ink hand on the front pastedown by previous owner, Vincenzo Capezza. Contemporary binding. Handsome, dark green morocco spine, with fairly crisp gilt-stamped lettering and rules. Marbled paper hardboards in shades of dark green, rust and beige. Generally unbumped spine head and tail, but with some rubbing. All corners bumped and abraded, especially the upper front corner. The binding is reasonably clean. 9 x 6.25 inches. Text block firmly bound in, but note that there is a split between two signatures, i.e., at pp. 4 and 5. With v, , xv, , 250, and  pages. Title page with a vignette depicting musical instruments, sheet music, and laurel leaves. Tiny stamp of previous bookseller to lower corner of front pastedown. Occasional foxing throughout the book. First several pages with small creases to upper corner, not into text. Else a clean volume. A Good Plus copy. Somewhat scarce in any condition. Capezza was an Italian opera critic and personally knew many of the great Italian singers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He specialized in the career of Enrico Caruso.
