Issued September 14, 1951 by Imprenta Nuevomundo, México, D.F.. Printed and bound in México. The book bound in turquoise buckram with crisp gilt-stamped lettering to the front board and to the spine. Gently bumped spine head and tail, and with fairly sharp corners. Light fading at the edges of the buckram binding. Very small gouge in the middle of the front gutter. 12.25 x 8.75 inches. The text block is firmly bound in. Charming full-picrorial pastedowns/FEPs featuring a map of ancient Mexico. With XIX and 970 numbered pages, and with numerous B&W plans, elevations, figures and archival photos. Also with full-color pull-out plates on glossy paper. An exceptionally clean copy. Gently read. No remainder marks. Still rather tight. With the original pictorial DJ. DJ with teal blue and terra cotta lettering. Minor wrinkling at spine head. Light soiling to the back. DJ in a clear Mylar protective sleeve. A Very Good Plus copy in a Very Good Minus dust jacket.
