This is not an English language edition. This is copy no. 451 of 990 copies on handmade Fabriano paper. Printed by Tipografia Torinese. The complete set of three volumes. Vol. I published in 1961, and Vols. II and III in 1966. Vol. I: Torino. Vol. II: Alessandria, Asti, Biella, Borgolavezzaro, Carmagnola, Casale, Chivasso, Cuneo, Ivrea, Mondový. Vol. III: Nizza Monferrato, Novara, Novi Ligure, Saluzzo, Savigliano, Tortona, Trino, Varallo, Vercelli. With forewords by Marina Bersano Begey. Dark beige linen-like buckram binding, with crisp reddish-brown lettering to the spines. The bindings are immensely clean and with no apparent scuffing or rubbing, except that the upper 1 inch of the front fore-edge of Vol. I is abraded. Generally unbumped spine heads and tails, and with sharp corners, except that there is a moderate bump to the top front corner of Vols. I and III. All text blocks firmly bound in.12.25 x 9.5 inches. With 549, (2); 574, (2); and 529, (2) pages. Numerous plates throughout the volumes, mostly in B&W but several embellished with red. At least two decorated capitals in medium blue. Vol. II with a pristine color pull-out map, a facsimile of a map designed by Giacomo Gastaldi. Top corner of most pages of Vol. III with very minor bump. An exceptionally clean set of volumes. Gently read. Each volume housed in the original dust jacket. The DJs are of plain light gray paper with blue lettering and with dark beige design. Note that the upper 1 inch of the front fore-edge of the DJ for Vol. I is abraded. Light wear at the spine head of Vol. II. All in all the jackets in impressive condition, and quite clean. A Very Good Plus set of books in Very Good Plus DJs. These volumes are dedicated to early books printed in various localities of the Piedmont area of northwest Italy.
