Printed in England by Stephen Austin and Sons. Original plain paper wrappers in a soft blue-green color, with fairly crisp black-stamped lettering to the front wrapper and to the spine. Yapped edges. The wrappers remain intact. Moderate spine lean nearing the top of the text block. Previous owner name in neat ink hand at the top of the front wrapper, else the wrappers are exceptionally clean and presentable. 10.75 x 7.5 inches. Heavy-weight, semi-glossy paper. With 264 numbered pages, and with LVI B&W plates, including schematics, maps, drawings and archival photos, and with 23 B&W figures in the text. Very light semi-crease to the last pages, quite minor. Else the book appears free of demerits. A Very Good copy. Much of the content focuses on Ancient Assyria, its history, archaeology and ethnography. The majority of the articles are in English but a few are in German and a few in French.
