First edition. From the University of Michigan Studies, Humanistic Series, Volume XLV. Set up and printed April 1939 by the Plimpton Press, Norwood, MA. Handsome dark green buckram binding, with blind-stamped crest of the U of M crest, and with crisp gilt-stamped lettering to the spine. Slightly bumped spine head and tail, with sharp lower corners and moderately bumped upper corners. The binding is exceptionally clean. 11 x 8 inches. Text block firmly bound in. With XXI, 374 and V numbered pages. There are XCIII full-page plates, each with several B&W figures. Also with two pristine pull-out plans showing Levels 1 and 2 of the excavation. Traces of speckling at the top edge, not into the pages themselves. Else an exceptionally clean volume, and quite tight. Either unread or very respectfully read. No dust jacket present. A Very Good Plus copy.
