Ce n'est pas une édition bilingue. Texte en français uniquement, pas en anglais. This is not a bilingual edition. Text in French only, not in English. No date but circa 1930. Presumed first edition. Presumed printed and bound in France. Unbound text sheets plus loose plates, all in a portfolio. Size of sheets is 32 x 24.5 cm. (12.5 x 9.5 inches) as folded. Half title page, title page, and 7 unnumbered pages of main text and plate commentary. Text of the plate commentary section in double columns. There are 24 unbound monochrome plates, as called for. Thus no missing plates. Each plate is tipped on to a backing sheet. Plate 21 with a very small piece of the backing sheet missing at the lower left corner, not affecting the plate itself. The pages and plates are impressively clean. The portfolio of mustard yellow paper-covered hardboards, with reddish-orange lettering to the front board and to the spine. The gutters of the portfolio are superficially cracked (that is, the yellow paper has separated) but the under-cloth remains intact. With a ribbon tie along the fore-edge. A Very Good set of unbound sheets in a Good Only portfolio. Overall Very Good Minus.
