Achevé d'ímprimer le 20 juin 1928 sur les presses de Protat Frères, Macon. Ce n'est pas une édition bilingue. Texte en français uniquement, pas en anglais. NOT ex library. Printed and bound in France. Issued June 20, 1928, by Protat Frères, Macon. This is from an unstated limitation; probably not more than 5,000 copies. This is not a bilingual edition. Text in French only, not in English. Large folio, 13.75 x 10.25 inches. This is a paperback bound in European over-wrappers. Light age-fading to the wrappers but very little soiling. Crisp black-stamped lettering to the front over-wrapper and spine. Front with photo-reproduction of a bust in a dark greenish hue. Almost no bumping to the spine head and tail, and with fairly sharp corners. The top three inches of the front wrapper and over-wrapper are separating near the spine head, not threatening the overall integrity of the binding. Sewn binding, with 36 pages of text followed by XL full-page, heliotype plates, the plates printed by L. Marotte. Opposite each plate are commentaries corresponding to the plates. In the bottom corner of the last several pages, not into the text or images, are several tiny raised bumps, as if blind-stamped. Cause undetermined and merely a cosmetic consideration. A few speckles of light foxing to the prelliminaries. This book presents very well. Note that several of the pages are unopened, as issued. An exceptionally clean copy, inside and out. A Very Good copy.
