Una edición en español y no en inglés. This is a Spanish language publlication; it is not in English. This catalog was created in conjunction with the Exposición de Bodegones, Flores y Frutas en la Pintura Española, organized by the Sociedad de Amigos del Arte, May 11 to June 20, 1935. NOT ex library. Oatmeal-colored linen [or linen-like] binding, with fairly crisp brown-stamped still life design to the front board and with brown lettering to the front board and to the spine. Generally unbumped spine head and tail, with fairly sharp and slightly rounded corners. 12.5 x 9.75 inches. Hinges giving somewhat but far from weak; the text block remains firmly bound in. Attractively deckled page edges. With 175 numbered pages of text, interspersed with 27 B&W, tipped-in figures, as called for, and numerous reproductions of artist signatures, and followed by a plates section of LXXXVIII full-page plates, 8 of which are in color. Each color plate with a tissue guard. All plates on medium-weight stock. A few lof the plate signatures are loosening but not detaching. The pages are lightly age-toned, not into the text or plates themselves. There is an inscription in a neat black ink hand, with signature and date, at the top of the front free end paper. Else an exceptionally clean volume, and rather tight. Respectfully read. No dust jacket present and presumed issued without a DJ. A Very Good copy. The publication of this volume was begun in 1936 but was interrupted by the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War. Publication was completed in 1940.
