This is one of a limited edition of 750 copies. Printed by the Mayflower Press, Plymouth, England. Presumed bound in Great Britain by William Brendon & Son. NOT ex-library. 11.5 x 9 inches. Oxford blue buckram binding with blind-stamped lettering to the front board and with crisp gilt-stamped lettering to the spine. The binding with bumping and light wear at the spine tail, and at the lower corners. Overall a very clean binding with a little evidence of rippling [air pockets] to the boards. Text block is securely bound in. T.E.G. With highly deckled fore- and bottom edges to an attractive effect. With xxii and 231 numbered pages of text, and with 19 full-page, full-color plates and with 43 plates in collotype, as called for. The color plates on medium-weight, semi-glossy stock. Light foxing to the preliminaries. Light age-toning to all text pages. A bit of spotting to a few pages throughout the volume. Else a clean copy. Note that the color plates are exceptionally clean and almost entirely free of spotting. The plain paper dust jacket is unclipped. DJ with black-stamped lettering. The rose-brown background slightly faded and with minor soiling. Chipping at the DJ spine head and tail. The DJ in a bright, new Mylar DJ protector. A Good Minus copy ina Good Minus DJ.
