This is Volume 10 of the series, Sekai Toji Zenshu, Catalogue of World's Ceramics. China: Sung and Liao Dynasties. Published jointly by the Charles E. Tuttle Company and by the Zauho Press and the Kawade Shobo. Principal text in Japanese, with a bilingual bibliography in Japanese and English. Bound in light cinnamon buckram, with gilt-stamped lettering to the spine and with blind-stamped design to the front board. 11.75 x 8.5 inches. Gently bumped spine tail, and with fairly sharp corners. Text block firmly bound. No missing or loose pages. 319 + 15 numbered pages, with 20 full-page full-color plates, most with tissue guards. Also with 120 B&W plates, plus smaller B&W figures. All on heavy-weight semi-glossy paper. No remainder marks. Moderate age spotting to the pastedowns and opposite FEPs. Else a very clean copy, and rather tight. Gently read. No DJ. A Good copy. Also included is the original, 15-page English language prospectus for this edition, containing a table of contents for the book, an essay about ceramic art in the Sung Dynasty, a description of the color plates, and a list of the monochrome plates.
