Printed and bound in the USA. Aubergine buckram binding, with crisp gilt-stamped lettering to the front board and to the spine. Unbumped spine head and tail, with very minor bumping to the corners. A few off-white scratches to the rear board, else an exceptionally clean binding. Text block firmly bound in. 9.25 x 6.5 inches. A few discreet ex library stampings to a few of the pages. With xvii and 452 numbered pages, including interspersed throughout the text 78 monochrome photoplates, full-page and on glossy paper. Also included is a pristine multi-section pull-out map illustrating the location of ancient village sites adjacent to the southern coast of Santa Barbara County. Noteworthy is that virtually all of the sites were situated along creekbeds. Apart from the aforementioned ex library markings, an exceptionally clean copy, and rather tight. A Very Good copy.
