Stated second edition, revised and expanded. Printed and presumed bound in Milan, Italy, 20 October 1948 but publication date on the title page states 1949. All plates, including color and B&W, by Fotoincisioni Bassoli, Milan. Ecru linen [or linen-like] cloth binding, with gilt-stamped lettering to the spine. Gently bumped spine tail, and with moderately bumped corners. The binding with intermittent small splotches, a cosmetic issue only. 12 x 8.25 inches. Hinges slightly tender; text block remains firmly bound in. With 239 numbered pages of text and with VII full-color and CXLVIII monochrome plates, all full-page and all on heavy coated stock. Edges of text pages are slightly age yellowed. No remainder marks. No dust jacket is present. A Good Minus copy.
