This publication is in English. Preface dated Fall 1948. Printed and bound in Japan. Green silk [or silk-like] fabric boards with purple ribbon ties. Presumed stab-sewn under-binding, with some attractive cloth work at the spine head and tail. With handsome paper title label to the front board. Unbumped spine head and tail, with sharp corners. Exceptionally attractive and unsoiled binding. Oblong, 10 x 14 inches. Text block firmly bound in. Handmade paper pastedowns/FEPs. With 13 numbered pages of text interspersed with B&W figure drawings and followed by dozens of full-page color paintings of flower arrangements, each with a corresponding page of notes. All text pages on fine, transparent paper. With the small stickers of the original bookseller, T. Z. Shiota, to the rear pastedown. No foxing or other demerits observed. An exceptionally clean volume, with evidence of moderate shelf life. Very gently read. No remainder marks. In the original medium-duty, plain manila paper slipcase with black-stamped lettering. A Very Good Plus copy in a Very Good slipcase.
