This is a bilingual publication in Japanese and English. Preface dated March 1936. Printed and bound by Jigyokudo in Japan. Rear pastedown with book production information written in Japanese. Salmon silk [or silk-like] fabric boards with purple ribbon ties. Presumed stab-sewn under-binding, with some attractive brocade work at the spine head and tail. With handsome paper title label in Japanese to the front board. Unbumped spine head and tail, with sharp corners. Exceptionally attractive and unsoiled binding. Oblong, 7.75 x 8.75 inches. Text block firmly bound in. Handmade paper pastedowns/FEPs. With unnumbered pages of text and illustrations. With approximately 48 full-page color paintings of flower arrangements and a corresponding 48 B&W photo images. With the small sticker of the original bookseller, T. Z. Shiota, to the rear FEP. As is typical with this book, moderate foxing to the preliminaries, not into the plates except for the last plate. Else an exceptionally clean volume, with evidence of moderate shelf life. Very gently read. No remainder marks. A Very Good copy.
