From an auction of March 2nd & 3rd, 1921. 10.25 x 6.75 inches. Light brown over-wrappers with black-stamped lettering. The wrappers have completely detached from the text block but remain present in one piece. Wrappers age-darkened and with edge wear. Text block stapled at the bindery. With 96 numbered pages of text itemizing 334 lots and with several B&W plates, being reproductions of Japanese woodblock prints. Prices realized are noted in pencil in the page margins. Generally a clean copy. A Good Plus copy. From the private library of Herbert McLean Evans. Evans [1882-1971] was a highly regarded U.S. anatomist and embryologist. He was an ardent collector of rare books and of Japanese ukiyo-e prints.
