For a sale of February 10th & 11th, 1920. Foreward by F. W. Gookin. Printed in Moline, IL. 9.5 x 6.75 inches. A paperback with European-style over-wrappers. Plain beige over-wrappers with black and red lettering. The over-wrappers are in sad shape, with crude tape repairs along the spine and lower edges. Also with some chipping and pull-away along the creases of the over-wrappers. The under-wrappers and the text block remain intact and firmly bound in. With many unnumbered pages of text, listing in detail 901 lots offered for sale. Also with numerous B&W reproductions of Japanese woodblock prints. With previous owner ex libris sticker affixed to the front over-wrapper and the inside of the front under-wrapper, along with a notation in pencil..Else an immensely clean interior, and rather tight. A Good Plus copy. From the private library of Herbert McLean Evans, and with his initials in soft lead pencil to the inside of the front over-wrapper. Evans [1882-1971] was a highly regarded U.S. anatomist and embryologist. He was an ardent collector of rare books and of Japanese ukiyo-e prints.
