Plain beige over-wrappers with black and red lettering. Unbumped spine head and tail, though very small chipping loss at head and tail. With sharp corners. With many unnumbered pages of text, listing in detail 901 lots offered for sale. Also with numerous B&W reproductions of Japanese woodblock prints. An immensely clean copy, inside and out, and rather tight. A Very Good Plus copy. From the private library of Herbert McLean Evans, and with his initials in soft lead pencil to the inside of the front over-wrapper. Evans [1882-1971] was a highly regarded U.S. anatomist and embryologist. He was an ardent collector of rare books and of Japanese ukiyo-e prints.
