Printed and bound in Denmark. Paper hardboards with lettering to the front and back boards and to the spine. A few small spots of paper missing from the boards and at the spine head; a cosmetic issue. Generally unbumped spine head and tail, and with fairly sharp corners. 12 x 8.5 inches. Text block firmly bound in. With 94 numbered pages and with 143 featured seals illustrated in. No remainder marks. Internally a very clean copy. Downgraded to Very Good Only on account of the cosmetic issues to the binding. From the personal library of Joel L. Malter, a famous numismatist and collector of archaeology books. The collection of seals treated in this book covers a period extending from the Late Ubaid to the Sasanian Dynasty, ca. 4000 B.C. to 642 A.D. Seal materials represented include limestone, baked steatite, baked clay and cuprite.
