First printing of the first edition. 14 x 10 inches. Printed and presumed bound in China. Color separation done in Italy. Bound in black buckram, with crisp gilt-stamped lettering to the front board and to the spine. Unbumped spine head and tail, with sharp corners. Text block firmly bound in. 415 numbered pages, with numerous color plates, most full-page and some fold-out, and all on glossy, heavy-weight stock. Gently cocked (i.e., slight spine lean, very minor). An exceptionally clean copy, inside and out. Gently read. The full-pictorial dust jacket is unclipped and with moderate edge curl.
