This is no. 182 of 385 copies printed at the Riverside Press. This edition of the Hydriotaphia reproduces the text of the first edition printed in 1658. Presumed printed and bound in the USA. Bright red leatherette binding, with ornate gilt-stamped design to the boards. Spine head and tail each with 1/2 inch chip. Corners gently bumped and worn. 9.75 x 7 inches. Text block firmly bound in. Top edge gilt. Fore- and bottom edges deckled to a handsome effect. Special laid paper. With x and 54 numbered pages. With an elaborate title page engraving and with headpiece and end piece of an urn design. Previous owner name and dates in a very neat ink hand to the front FEP, else a very clean copy. Gently read. Downgraded to Good Minus owning to the chips at either end of the spine, else a Very Good copy.
