Also with crisp gilt-stamped design to the front board, with a portrait of Raphael and his patron Pope Julius II. Gently bumped and scuffed spine head and tail and with fairly sharp corners. Text block firmly bound in. Dark gray pastedowns/FEPs. 10.25 x 7.25 inches. With 80 and 80 numbered pages, plus eight full-page B&W plates, each with pristine tissue guard, and with numeruos smaller B&W illustrations. An exceptionally clean copy, inside and out, and rather tight. Gently read. A Very Good copy. With the handsome ex libris label of Abraham Goldsmith.
