Text in French, not in English. This is a facsimile edition. Originally published in Paris by Librairie A. Rouquette in 1912. Presumed printed and bound in the USA. Handsome brownish-gray buckram, with crisp gilt-stamped titling on a green blaze to the spine. Unbumped spine head and gently bumped tail, with sharp lower corners and gently bumped upper corners. 8.5 x 5.75 inches. With xxvi and 1,247 numbered pages. Note that five of the pages have a clean, diagonal crease of about one inch at the top corner. With several full-page B&W illustrations and also with B&W head- and tail-pieces. Apart from the dog-earred pages previously noted, this copy is free of demerits. Exceptionally clean and rather tight, with just a hint of shelf life. Gently read. No remainder marks. No dust jacket is present. A Very Good copy. Reprint of the sixth and best edition of this bibliography of French eighteenth-century illustrated books, an edition which was revised and enlarged by Seymour de Ricci.
