Printed and bound in Kyoto, Japan by Shashin Kagaku. Text in Engl;ish, Japanese and Korean. Consists of 39 square-shaped loose sheets of heavy-duty paper, almost all with color design. Sheets measure 11.75 x 11.75 inches. All sheets immensely clean. The sheets contained in a folding envelope of the same heavy-duty paper. The folding envelope with a brief inscription signed in silver ink, probably by the artist. Also included is a slipped-in prospectus in pristine condition. Note that neatly pasted on to the prospectus is the handsome ex libris plate of the original owner. Housed in a medium-duty plain cardboard box with black-stamped lettering. Moderately rubbing and wear to the box, especially along the edges. A Fine set of prints in a Very Good box. Scarce in any condition. Thus rated Near Fine overall. "Ground and underground are separated by an infinitisimally thin layer of a mental construct called 'surface.' Just as there are opposites in everything conceivable, ground and underground are opposites of this surface." The prospectus includes a biography of the artist and a list of his exhibitions.

Bhutan Bhutan Postal Corporation 2000 First Edition Decorative Cloth Fine Manuscript 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall 
The book front cover states, "Philatelic Bureau" and the rear cover logo states, "Royal P. & T. Deptt." [sic], a reference to the Department of Posts & Telegraphs. That Department existed from about 1974 to 1996, when it became the Bhutan Postal Corporation. This booklet of stamps could not have been issued prior to 2000, thus the designation is merely fanciful. Oblong, 6.25 x 9.25 inches. Royal blue silk [or silk-like] fabric binding with crisp white-stamped logos front and back. Ten pages of stamps, all in pristine condition, and with fine tissue guards tipped in. The pages are stiff board in charcoal color. The stamps are slipped in behind transparent Mylar windows. Stamps include: Greetings, Earth Rabbit Year 1999, a large sheet with one stamp and decorative border; Medicinal Plant, a large sheet with four stamps; Lunar Dragon Year 2000, a large sheet with one stamp and decorative border; Flowers of Bhutan, a large sheet with one stamp and decorative border; Rhododendrons, Our Nation's Wealth, a large sheet with six stamps and decorative border; a complete sheet with twelve bird stamps; a complete sheet with twenty-five insect stamps; The Medicinal Flowers of Bhutan, a large sheet with one stamp and decorative border, and flanked by two additonal flower stamps apparently from the same series; a page with six flower stamps and two animal stamps, including 1997 Cuon Alpinus and 1994 Wood Dog Year; and a page with eight flower stamps.

In 1999 his first-class collection became a permanent part of the Museum for East Asian Art, Cologne."

This is a map from the Oriental Culture Chart Series, copyright 1946. In folded format the size is about 9 x 7 inches. The map unfolded measures 27 x 35 inches. With black figural drawings on heavy-duty beige paper. The map is in exceptionally fine condition, with no tears or stains or handwritten notes. There is very slight sunning to some of the outer edges of the reverse side, trivial. The map is enclosed in the original paper outer folder. The outer folder is sunned and is worn along the center fold. A Near Fine map.This chart shows 178 typical examples of bronze vases, food and wine vessels, measures, bells, mirrors, weapons, etc., of general and ritual use, as a guide to the identification and study of these most interesting works of art. All pieces have been selected from the catalogs of the great palace collections. Some old forms of the Chinese characters are given for comparison.

From an unstated limitation, probably not in excess of 2,000 copies. Printed by the De Vinne Press, USA. Presumed bound in the USA. NOT ex-library. 12.75 x 10 inches. Light olive drab buckram spine, with olive green paper covered hardboards. With fairly crisp gilt-stamped lettering to the front board and faded lettering to the spine. The binding with gentle bumping and wear at the spine head and tail, and moderate bumping and abrasion at the corners. Light soiling to the binding but overall an attractive binding. Text block is securely bound in. With highly deckled fore- and bottom edges to an attractive effect. With 109 numbered pages. Handsome laid paper, presumed hand-made, watermarked Etruria, Italy. With 17 full-page, full-color plates tipped in, as called for. The plates on medium-weight, semi-glossy stock. The plates protected by tissue guards. A fair amount of page waviness at the extremities, NOT moisture damage. A little age-spotting or toning to the preliminaries but the interor remarkably clean on the whole. Front pastedown with previous owner name in a neat ink hand. Else a clean copy. A Good copy,
